Cortina Winter Polo Audi Gold Cup 2005
The Audi Gold Cup was played on a lake situated high amid the snowy mountaintops of Cortina in Italy. It was extremely cold, snowed a lot and every morning the water buckets were full of thick ice which we had to break, to refill them with fresh water. In order for the horses to play well, two studs were put into the outside of each of their four shoes, preventing them from slipping and giving them a good grip. The horses were kept warm with rugs provided by our sponsors, Audi. Although it was extremely cold, it was an amazing experience, where we had lots of fun, many laughs in the snow and returned to England with great memories.
