Polo Pasión Photography: Polo Pony Care

• Like athletes, polo ponies need to be warmed up properly before a game or chukkas, to prevent any injuries.

• Polo ponies generally live in stables throughout the Polo Season. The Polo Season runs from March to the end of September. If grazing is available however, it is more beneficial for them to be outside and walking off any aliments.

• During the Summer, polo ponies play hard, so at the end of the Season they go out to grass (for a holiday) throughout the Winter (beginning October - end February).

• Polo ponies tend to have a long playing career. This is due to their natural instinct to run about and still stay mentally young, even at the age of 20!
